Our set of 5 produce bags are lovingly and ethically made in Australia (likely by my Mum) from upcycled lace curtains, painstakingly sourced for op-shops, and maybe even from your Nan's house!
The lace is super sanitised and quality tested before being made into bags, and the lace works just as well, maybe even better, than the popular organic mesh produce bags that are all over the eco market right now. The main difference... ours are made right here in Australia (not mass produced in a factory in China or India and branded to whatever label, before flying on 3-4 international flights to get here) but those are really nice too :)
Anyhoo, they are pretty, and they work, and they are made from materials that already exist in the world, materials that have been decorating kitchen windows and keeping all the peepers out of family dinners for decades, they've seen and heard some things, and now they not only get a second shot at life, they also won't be heading to landfill along with the other millions of tonnes of memories... aah textile waste that ends up that way every year.
